The Edo State Government, in collaboration with the Gas Investment Forum (GIF), has announced a strategic webinar titled “Unlocking Nigeria’s Gas Potential – Focus on Edo State” scheduled for Thursday, 25th September 2025 at 11:00 AM (WAT). The virtual event will convene senior government officials, gas industry leaders, and stakeholders to spotlight investment opportunities in Nigeria’s gas sector with a special emphasis on Edo State.
The webinar comes in the build-up to the 3rd Edition of the Gas Investment Forum, West Africa’s premier gas investment platform, taking place on October 7–8, 2025 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
Chief Host of the webinar is His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, while Hon. Andrew Ijegbai, Commissioner for Mining, Oil & Gas, Edo State will serve as Host.
The session will feature distinguished speakers including:
- Felix Ekundayo – Managing Director, Axxela Energy & President, Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gas Association (NLCGA)
- Prof. Yinka Omorogbe – Founder & CEO, Etinpower Ltd
- Iroghama Ogbeifun – Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Starzs Gas Limited
- Oga Adejo-Ogiri – Executive Secretary, Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG) & CEO, Highland LNG
- Mrs. Osifo Ekinadoese Stacy, Mrs. Omoruyi Ese Martina, and Sandra E. Osinachi-Nwodim, senior representatives of the Edo State Ministry of Mining, Oil & Gas.
Speaking ahead of the webinar, the organisers emphasized that the session is designed to serve as a prelude to deeper conversations at GIF 2025, where policymakers, international oil companies, independent producers, financiers, and service providers will gather to shape the future of Nigeria’s gas sector under the theme “Charting New Opportunities for Investment, Growth & Industrialization.”
