Gas Investment Forum (GIF) has announced the first set of confirmed speakers for its 2025 edition, scheduled to take place from October 7–8, 2025, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.
Themed “Charting New Opportunities for Investment, Growth & Industrialization,” this year’s Forum will bring together high-level leaders, policymakers, global investors, and indigenous operators in what has become West Africa’s most influential gas investment platform.
Now in its third edition, GIF has grown into a defining force within Nigeria’s natural gas value chain. Endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), GIF continues to be a key instrument in accelerating gas monetization, unlocking capital, and strengthening Nigeria’s position in the global energy landscape—anchored firmly on the nation’s Decade of Gas vision.
As Nigeria positions gas at the center of its economic transformation agenda, the Gas Investment Forum (GIF) 2025 is set to provide a high-level platform for government leaders, key investors, and energy professionals to chart a new course for the country’s gas future.

Verheijen’s leadership at the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Energy (OSAE)—coordinating transformational reforms across the oil, gas, and power sectors—has been instrumental in repositioning Nigeria as a prime global energy investment destination, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
